GRE was founded by Keith Weinhold in 2013 to teach people about investing through real estate. By the next year his podcast was one of the most popular investing shows with 15,000-20,000 downloads per week!
Keith began his investing by purchasing a four plex and living in one unit while renting out the other three. He learned all of the difficulties that can be involved with managing real estate by making mistakes. He chose the wrong tenants and allowed tenants to pay late. He really should have been using a Property Manager, but if he had then he wouldn’t have learned all he knows now.

After almost 6 years of learning through trial and error, he began to read and educate himself. Which led him into making more investments. It wasn’t long before he found a passion for sharing his hard-earned knowledge. He started with informal mentorships on a whiteboard and is now hosting one of the most popular podcasts available.
Keith’s philosophy is that income is a means of achieving financial freedom. He doesn’t believe in working to work. As a result of his investing and philosophy he and his wife travel 2-3 months out of the year, enjoying life to the fullest.
Real estate is only the fuel that generates financial freedom. That way you can enjoy the peace, love, happiness, joy and free time that you ultimately want; and it also means giving well to others.
