Military & Renting Needs

The men and women of the military want to feel at home int he many different places they are sent to serve. This can be difficult for them when they choose to live off of the military installation. They want the feel of normalcy, but with someone who can understand what may come up. Here are some things to consider when accepting their applications.

When it comes to the military they are usually stationed for a duration of time – this can be assumed it will be 3-4 years. Now, this isn’t always the case. Some can extend and some can end up leaving much sooner depending on the needs of the army. Getting as much information as possible up front is best. Most likely you can find a stable renter for a couple years, especially if they have kids, as they try to not uproot kids from a routine and friends.

There could be time periods where they will be gone due to training. This could be a couple weeks, or a month or more of time. How do they anticipate care of the home during these times? Do they have pets that will be left to be cared for, or will they be put to a boarding facility? Keeping open communication is best so that you can ensure the property is kept up during times of trainings.

Military personnel are just as great as anyone, but keep in mind there might be some things that need to be talked through.
