Cleaning is not something that goes away when you are out of your parents house and it is a rule!
Keeping your rental clean is something that you need stay up on when it comes to rentals. It makes the almost mandatory clean out so much easier when a lease ends. Failure to properly clean your apartment when moving out can cost you your security deposit, and sometimes even more depending on the damage. It is also important to mention that your renting reputation and chances of finding another landlord who will accept your application will suffer if you do not adhere to cleaning standards.
Most property managers provide you a list of things that need to be cleaned when moving out of an apartment.
This list includes but is not limited to your dishwaser, refrigerators, vents, and drawers.
While we realize this cleaning process is not fun, it must be done and is worth the cash return in your pocket. Luckily, we have a few cleaning hacks to help ease the process!
1. A few drops of white vinegar will help remove stubborn stains while removing odors.
2. Baking soda combined with vinegar is a powerful combination that is sure to break down grease and make your kitchen sparkle. It can also be used for drains and the dishwasher.
3. Cut a lemon in half and use it to remove grout build-up in your shower.
4. Fabric softener sheets remove spots on mirrors, fixtures, and toilets with ease.
5. Scrub away mystery goo on countertops, cabinets and floors with vegetable oil and baking soda.
